The Department of Community Medical and Welfare conducts education and research in a field that integrates social welfare with medicine, gerontology, sociology, psychology, and other disciplines.
Especially now that multi-professional collaboration has become particularly important in the medical welfare field, we are training social workers to serve as bridges between these professions.
We also accept graduate students. Many graduates of our graduate course go on to serve as faculty members at universities specializing in social welfare or as welfare administrative staff in prefectures and municipalities. Through our graduate course, we aim to cultivate professionals who can contribute to the development of local communities.
